Step 1: Install Android Data Extraction software and launch it. Now connect your screen broken Android to PC via USB cable. Select Data Extraction (Damaged Device) from the available list.

Step 2: In next window select the type of scenario which matches your phone state. There are two scenarios – touch doesn’t work or cannot access the phone and black/broken screen.

Step 3: After this, in next window select the correct device name and model and then click Next.

Step 4: Next, follow the below instructions. 

• Turn off the phone. 
• Press and hold Volume "-", "Home" and "Power" button on the phone. 
• Press "Volume +" button to enter download mode.

Step 5: Once, your phone enter into download mode, the software will start to analyze the phone and download the recovery package.

Step 6: After, this you can preview and recover files that you want back. Preview the files and click on “Recover” button to save them on your system.

Solution 1: Re-update Your Device To Android 7.0 from Marshmallow Through OTA

Here how to do it:

• Download Android full OTA image - Marshmallow 6.0.1 (latest version) and downgrade Nexus device back to Marshmallow.
• After this reboot your Nexus 6P or 5X and then re-download a full OTA image for Android 7.0 Nougat.
• Install and update Nexus 6P/5X phone into Nougat again.
